The NFL playoffs feature 14 teams: 7 from the AFC and 7 from the NFC. Each conference’s four division winners automatically qualify. The remaining three spots in each conference are awarded to the teams with the best records outside of the division winners, known as wild-card teams.

The knockout rounds will feature eight teams: the six group winners and the two best second-place teams. The competition will follow a single-elimination format, progressing through quarterfinals, semifinals, and a championship match.
